Ever wonder what inspires some of the Diablo II wall artwork? Bob sent in something he discovered while playing Diablo II and encountering this artwork in the cathedral of Act I. Proving that high school is indeed useful, he recalled studying a tapestry in his freshman year that looked eerily familiar. What he was looking at in the game was a piece of the Bayeux Tapestry, a 70 meter(!!!) long embroidery created around 1066 A.D. You can see the piece in question by looking at Parts 14 and 15 on the website and comparing them to the Diablo II screenshot. If you're interested, be sure to read up on the history of this historical "document" of sorts at the website as well. Good eye, Bob!
