Do you mind if I call you later?
1 你想日后给这位新结识的朋友打电话。你问他,是否介意你以后打电话给他:
Do you mind if I call you later?
2 别人请你跳舞你不想跳。你有礼貌地告诉他,你不想跳,请他不要介意:
Do you mind if we don't dance?
3 夜深了,你征得丈夫的同意你迟睡一会儿,就问他,是否介意你晚睡:
Would you mind if I stay up late?
4 有女士在场,吸烟者应征得女士的同意。你可以问她,介不介意你在这里抽烟:

5 你想让朋友等你,就请求他说,可不可以在此等一下:

注:
Do you mind … 与 Would you mind … 为请求别人帮忙时的客套用语,
意为:“可否请您…”,“您不会介意吧”;
或自己要做什么而请求对方谅解的用语,
意为“我…可以吗?”
